2Web Technologies was a New York City based software company which was acquired by Google in mid-2005 as the base technology behind the spreadsheets application in Google Docs. The original product created by 2Web Technologies, XL2Web, was further developed at Google to become the first launched product in the Google Docs suite. On June 6, 2006[1], it was launched as Google Labs Spreadsheets[2].
